Emperor(Empress)
The Emperor (Empress) of the Medieval time was not a very weight bearing person, although many people
may think that they are, they Shogun took the importance away from the Emperor (Empress).
The Emperor (Empress) was treated as a God, without the Emperor (Empress) the people would
not follow the Shogun.
The Emperor (Empress) was still top of the feudal system even if they were not as important
as the Shogun but this was really only because of the God side of things,
The Emperors (Empress) decisions where mostly made up by the Shogun
this didn't really give the Emperor (Empress) much of an opinion but that's how things were in that time and
they really just had to deal with it, but the Emperor (Empress) still was an important person.

shrines and to various rituals.' Shinto isn’t a religion that explains how the world
came to be, but its 'rituals that enable people to communicate with Kami'
Kami are not the Gods, they are spirits that have lots to do with human
beings, they are only interested in making us happy. If the Kami are treated
with respect then they to shall bring us benefits in life like health, business success,
and good exam results.
